“Swongsburg Realty” Game

Interested in enhancing his skills as a board game designer, the kid signed up for a six-week-long online class on the subject. The class project was meant to be very simple, but he had the vision of a much more complex game in materials, mechanics, and ways to score. So he went for that, creating a very elaborate board game around the theme of real estate development.

The game board shows differently colored lots of land along with their cost and popularity value

In addition to the excellent product he delivered, and the video presentation he made all on his own, this project provided him with some new experiences:

  • Working on assignment with given deadlines, which was challenging given the larger than intended project scope he pursued.
  • Using Figma (a digital design tool) to create a neat deck of cards and tokens
