Making a Monster

Joaquin’s first sewing project was to make his own “Rogue Monster”. He drew his creature, cut the template, transferred it to fabric, and sewed along the outline with a running stitch. Mama helped securing the stitches with a sewing machine and he helped stuff it. Then he designed and cut the features for the face, and mama stitched them along with some hair. Joaquin called him “Pumpum” and he’s fabulous! Years and many other creative projects later Pumpum’s personality emerged: He’s a great cook, very smart, sensible, and cautious. This short video documents his birth.
